The 6010 uses a LED to generate an optical pulse
Solution The 6010 Light Pulse Generators use LED's of various wavelengths to produce light. As such the power levels are low and the pulses slower than those of our laser diode sources used with our 6040.

With the 6010 we can provide a wider variety of wavelength capabilities, but with a broader linewidth than that of our laser diode sources. It uses an optical feedback system to stabilize the light amplitude.
